Ep.3 Vendor Spotlight: Hope Bakery

  • 2 min read

Ypsi has a gift for small, local goods made with care and by human hands and Hope Bakery is one of the best examples of exactly that. This week we're spotlighting a small local bakery bringing handmade cookies, cakes, and breads to the Ypsilanti Farmers Market.

Founded by Adiyam, Hope Bakery has grown from late-night baking sessions into a beloved market staple.

It started simply: during the pandemic, Adiyam began experimenting with recipes and bringing the extras to work, sharing fresh baked goods with fellow nurses. The response was immediate. What began as a way to spread a little joy quietly grew into a thriving business of its own.

Every Friday, Adiyam spends the day baking from morning until night, preparing fresh breads, cakes, and sweet treats for Saturday market mornings. That care and dedication shows in every table display and every baked good they bring to the community.

When they're not at the market, Adiyam works as a nurse, continuing a career centered around care and service. In many ways, Hope Bakery feels like an extension of that same spirit; feeding people, creating comfort, and bringing a little sweetness into someone's day.

This is Hope Bakery's third year with the Ypsilanti Farmers Market, and they've quickly become a familiar and welcome part of our market family.

When you visit, look out for seasonal and specialty items like:

  • Chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies

  • Peanut butter chocolate cake

  • Strawberry crunch cake

  • Salted caramel macarons

  • Coffee cakes — blueberry and cinnamon

  • Banana bread — classic and chocolate chip

  • Brown butter rice crispy treats

Stop by on a Saturday and say hello. You can't miss the pink banner or the warm smile waiting behind the booth.

🌿 Saturdays | 9am–1pm 📍 Ypsilanti Farmers Market | 16 S. Washington St., Ypsilanti, MI
